hello, my wedding dinner and reception will take place next week on june 7, 2003. we will be serving grilled breast of chicken with a fresh basil cream sauce and shitake mushrooms. the meal will be served with scalloped potatoes and asparagus. because i am not very well learned in wine and i will providing the wine for the wedding myself, i would like to know which red AND white wines i can serve with the dinner. i would like to find the most affordable as well. thank you

Hi JLB and welcome to the Wine Board. The white is easy; Vouvray from the Loire Valley. You can get it in the $10 range. For the red you should be able to find a Spanish Campo De Borja such as the one from Borsao, for (don't tell anybody) $6, more or less.
