Picked this up as an orphan bottle after a wine tasting for $7. Clear black/ruby with lightening at the rim. Nose of black currant/cassis and oak. Flavors of pronounced bitter sweet chocolate, black fruit, rhubarb and vanilla with a long finish where the tannins kick in. A very nice wine that won gold in the 1999 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

I thought this was a pretty good wine, especially considering the price. I think they could take a lighter hand with the oak, but all in all, it's a real value.
