Caught at a very nice time. Nose is complex, integrated, slightly herbal, but very nice. On the palate, much the same with some good secondary flabour development. tobacco, hints of spiciness, soy behind the elegant fruit, great balance and texture.

I have some Michael Scott Del Bondio Bella Oaks that I look forward to opening perhaps before the weather turns warm. Too bad we didn't get together to compare the two wines.

This has been on the radar since the original issue in 1977 which may have been the wine of the year. Not sure what models are in the cellar but remember posting on one in the past year or so. WW
