1997 EOS, Paso Robles, Cabernet Sauvignon ($15). This posting could be subtitled "Getting your money's worth." What do you want in an $15 cab? How about a big bad red, that has a noseful of unmistakable varietal cabernet aroma, blackcurrents and cassis upfront, fully smoothed out tannins and nice complexity on the palate, and a finish that says to the fillet steak, "right this way lady." Well this one at 14.5% alcohol, filled all those requirements at age four. May be wrong, but strongly feel that the wine had no where to go from here. That is exactly what I want in an $15 cab. Completely enjoyable. If you are not familiar with these wines, check out: www.eosvintage.com

Hey Innkeeper, went to an exclusive EOS Paso Robles tasting in Ohio last year, and if you think the Cab really kicks.... spend $3 more, and try the Petit Shiraz. You will not be disappointed, it is even better than their cab! Everything that I have tasted from them has been top notch for the money. Give it a try.
