This is my first attempt to pair wine with food. I decided on a 2000 Navarro Mendocino Gewurztraminer to go with a cheese course that will include fig tapenade and a pickled fig - that is pretty sweet.

I am told the Gewurztraminer is not available even at the winery.

Can anyone suggest another? Thanks

Hi EAP and welcome to the Wine Board. You might try to find Thomas Fogarty, Monterey, Gewurztraminer.

Innkeeper,
Thanks, I will-I am running out of time because I am leaving for the east coast Tuesday morning - any particular reason why you like that one? EAP

Have had both it and the Navarro, and are both pretty close. The Fogarty is a little better and a little more expensive.

Innkeeper,
Thanks, I hope I can get it today. EAP
