We had our annual Christmas party for my kids, grand-kids, and the G-Grandson yesser-dai. My kids and G-Ks' are getting to be a load to satisfy in the wine dep't.Started with a bottle of 99 Simi and for the white winers a really nice Rose' champagne from Roger Pouillon. After many " Come On Pops', where's the good stuff?" I opened a 97 Flora Springs Trilogy and a new-to-me Godme 1996 Brut Grand Cru that was stunning.
They liked the Trilogy but wanted something with more hair on it so opened in succession the 95 then the 94 Trilogy. The party was heating up and my eldest (at the party) requested the 92 Beringer P.R. A Stunning bottle. Capped the evening with a 1996 Drappier Brut "Grande Sendree" from the arriving super 96 vintage. Perfect capper for the evening. All went home safe and sound (DD's) in all 4 cars full. Too busy having busy to make anything but mental notes. 'Twernt none left in eeny bottle so musta' been hokay. Hope all have as much fun as the weener had yesserday and the New Year rains nothing but goodies in your back yards. WW
