What a dandy this has turned in to. It will never be a Latour, but that's apples and oranges. It stands on its own as a fine example of what CA Cab should be.

Lush blackberry fruit that is not overblown, soft, supple tannins that caress the palate, oak in the background instead of making my tongue walk the plank, 13.6% alcohol that shows no heat, all wrapped up in a balanced, delicious package.

I'm quite happy that I have a few more in the cellar.

Amazin' 'haint it Buckinheister what a few years of bottle time does to those "Oak-Bombs"? I agree on the Lawrence as well as the other 96s'on which I've posted this last couplea'. Working thru some of the lesser 95s now and will get into more 96s in the near future. WW
