If it seems I'm picking the 96 vintage singulatly lately you're rite. I bought my normal group of vineyards in 96 but succumbed to the massive hype(justified) of the upcoming 97 vintage. After seeing what the guys put in the bottle i 96, I wish I'd bought more. This smmoth deep ruby darlin' has the trademark Oakville nose with a tad of the Rutherford dust. Superbvly balanced with ted and black fruits, plums, white pepper, pencil shavings, sweet spices, and vanilla/cocoa backgroung. Supple entry, weighty center and a kick-derriere 4&1/2 lapper finish. A really super bottle 92/90. 44 by the box. WW

$44 by the box, I paid $32 for mine. Fingers again?

You're spot on about the '96s, they're ready before most of the '95s I've got and drinking beautifully. Opened a Mount Veeder last night but haven't had a real chance to review it yet. Will post later on it.
