Hi all. First time user, first time post. Well, I'm cooking a hot corn chowder tonight and was hoping you could recommend a good wine to go w/ it. I'm assuming I should have a white, albeit I'm open to all suggestions. The corn chowder has bacon, onion, bell peppers, potatoes, corn, and thyme. Thanks in advance. Peter

Welcome to the board, Peter. I think the bacon, onion and peppers would crash against a white wine. I'd go with a Syrah, such as the Cline from California, all of $8 per. A Southern Rhone or Languedoc should also work well. For an Italian, the Tommasi Valpolicella Classico "Rafael" would also be well-suited (about $11).
