Have been on a 95 kick this past week. This is a very solid vintage that hasn't had the accolades it should have had because of the 94 and coming 97s'. Judds' Hill. Coming along wonderfully with a solid core of fruit, lots of auxillary stuff and enough silky tannins to take it another 3-5 before peaking. 90/90.
Gundlac/Bundschu. Jim has made a very fine bottle of juice from his Rhinefarm vineyard in Sonoma. A P/Q candidate. 89/90 Under 20 by the box.
Robert Craig Affinity. As usual one of the really fine concoctions from Napa. Silky entry, lovely center, and a 4-lapper finish. Still needs another 2-3 to resolve some soft tannins. 91/92. 33 by the box
B.V Reserve. A really super bottling that'll be one of the top 10 bottlings in 95.Concentrated, explosive fruit, a mile long finish and enough supple tannins to keep improving for the next 10. 92/91.
And the wine-of-the-week clear winner from my guests......Flora Springs Trilogy. Would review it but know I'd get admonished by Foodie for my pompous prose, SO I'll just say in the words of my southern friends "This Hound'll Hunt " 94-96.WW
