Medium ruby. Well-made bottle that has benefitted from a small growth of whiskers. Nice floral, cassis, and red fruits are on the nose and palate. Good center, and a satisfyimng 3+-lapper finish. Maybe needs another 1-2. Solid bottling. 87/88. 22 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW

I've always shyed away from Merryvale because of the tannic beasts that they are and not having the patience to age them.

I really like both comments which help me define what I like (rookie that I am), thanks. I've always like Merryvale, enjoying the tannic strength.

opened another last nite and the extra down time has improved both the nose and taste . A touch of dust showing up and the finish seems to be improving. Will put this bottle at 89. WW

Had another last nite and this wine just keeps-on keepin'-on. Nose has improved over the last 6 months but not enough to kick it up another notch. Mite make the 90 mark with the next bottle. Good juice. WW

Found this after learning how to use the "searce the forum" thingie. Has come as far as it can go and seems to be holding solidly. Would definately reccommend this to be gulped in the next 2-4. WW
