- ddf68 - 03-20-2002 Opened a bit too cold, not much else but oak on the nose. Simple, grapey, and alcoholic. After it warmed up it improved somewhat: oak receded, tannic structure appeared, along with some decent length. On the other hand, it also showed more alcohol, low acid, overripe fruit/coffee flavors. Not the right balance for me. A decent cab, I suppose, but for the money they're commanding at auction, I think I'd rather dump them and buy some Montelena instead.
