i was wondering if it is better, worse or does not matter to drink on an empty stomach or should people eat something before or during...this has always confused me.. i was wondering if i did drink on an empty stomach would it make the liver more toxic??? thanks...dan

Wine is best concumed with food. Even if you are quaffing you should have some crackers and cheese or nuts or popcorn or something.

One thing I learned (and it works) from Andrea Immer in her new book "Great Tastes Made Simple" is that if you end up with an oak bomb of a chardonnay on your hands; you can quaff it with a bowl of butter drenched popcorn.
