In regards to Georgian wine: their wine is not that bad, just their product need some marketing folks to get involved.

I would recommend their Semi-sweets! And again I am talking about the authentic stuff, not the one which was bottled here in US

We carry some wines from Georgia, the country not the state. The reds are labelled as semi-sweet. They're not very big sellers. We have some customers who are Russian ex-pats who have tried them, but didn't much care for them.

- Boaz Bagbag - 05-03-2005

just curious, did you ever try it yourself?

- Kcwhippet - 05-03-2005

Tried it, didn't like it a whole lot. If they made (or marketed) something a bit drier, maybe I might be tempted to give it a second taste. I just don't like heavy, sweet red wines.

You don't like Port, KC?

- Kcwhippet - 05-04-2005

I sure do, Bucko, but I don't care for a wine that's like a Cab with RS and a bit out of balance to boot.

Ok, enough already, I've learned more about wines then I really wanted to know, how about a new subject.
I no longer drink wine as it caused gout in my foot OUCH!

- Innkeeper - 05-04-2005

Are you sure the wine caused it? Only ask because a lot of things are blamed on wine that have no validity.

- winoweenie - 05-04-2005

Well Norma67 since you started this fiasco with your query guess it's Okie-Dokie to cease and desist. By-The-Byt...If wine caused gout I'da' been bed-ridden in the spring of 02. WW

Inn keeper and wineoweepee,
I don't know if wine causes gout or not. I have to blame some thing. I guess its as good as anything else to blame,Surely its not my old age!!!
