I was wondering if anyone could tell me which one of these Chardonnays has the best buttery flavor.
Louis M Martini Reserve, Russian river valley. '97
Markham Vineyards, Napa Valley, '97
Merryvale, Napa Valley, '98
Beringer, Napa valley, '98
Bernardus, Montery county, '97

Also I was wondering which of these were better to go with steak.
Alexander Valley, Caberet Sauvignon, '98
Farncis Coppola, Blacklabel, '98

or if there are any other suggestions in the 10-20$ price range that are better I would be greatly appreciative.

Mel, think you`ve got the welcome thing. Kaint` for any amount say any of them sissy whites would go with a steak. Lots of great reds out there now that would be lush with a slab of Hotwines` Texas Speciality. I prefer the Cab as the Coppola is a little muscular to do a great sirloin justice. Start experimenting and find the matches YOU like.`Taint nebber to early to start that mental file. winoweenie

If these are what you mean by "less expensive", guess we didn't understand. The Beringer is the only one with current experiance, and it is fine.

Might consider J.Lohr Monterey Chardonnay '98. Like buttah.
