If yes, how would you do it?

Most of the people around here either are or have been ITB. That's why we discourage taglines. Glad to have you around.

Hey WS, like IK said, many of us are already in the trade but I think we all arrived at it differently. I'd like to hear PersonalWine's story too

I think that you have to look for what you'd like to do, from the agricultural end through to the importation, to retail and even service end. Some of us have done stints in all of these areas. I'd suggest that you try the area you like first before jumping in completely. I accidentally endedup in the export side of the world which is where I honestly like to be. This gives me the chance to sample all the goods and to speak with the wineries. I would be horrible on the wine making front and I'm not sure I'd have the constitution to support the retail end.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks Mike, its nice to see new posters on this site. I'll gladly share my secret. I started personalizing wine for client gifts, then people started to ask me to do it so I applied for a wine retail license. Here I am now in a maze and complex system of retail and affiliate retailer marketing. I taste lots of wines and am planning to travel a lot more to visit and document producers. We now operate Wines.com and still focus our side on the private label wine business opportunities out there.
