Hey everyone,

I am cooking dinner for a certain lady friend of mine this week and am rather ignorant when it comes to matching wine and food. I am making "tequila lime chicken" which is basically what it says served over spinach fettucini. I'm not a big fan of reds so I was hoping someone could suggest a nice white to go with the tangy lime and tequila flavors. Is it a good idea to go with a wine that is equally as sharp or one that will give our tastebuds a break? Thanks!

Hi GCL, and welcome to the Wine Board. Would go with either a riesling or a pinot bianco from the Alto Adige region of Italy.

I'll second the suggestion of a reisling. I also think that a pinot grigio would go well. (My only tequila lime chicken experience has been in Applebee's so I might have the wrong impression of your meal.)
