- Kim47060 - 02-24-2005 I'm having friends over and we will be having Salsa Chicken and Quesadillas. What type of wine would go w/ that? - hotwine - 02-24-2005 Welcome to the board, Kim. I would have a Spanish red. Look down the board to the Spanish thread and you'll find lots of 'em listed... I've posted on a couple recently that would go just fine with that dinner.... Palacio de Sada quickly comes to mind. But since distribution of particular labels is so spotty across the different states, a particular label might be hard to find. Look for a Crianza of Tempranillo blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and expect to pay $10-$12 at a discount house like Sam's Wholesale Club. - winoweenie - 02-24-2005 Hi Kim and welcome to the board. I personally drink a fruity Zinfandel with my Mexican dishes if they have the traditional spices. The 03 Rosenblum Oakley vineyard will handle any Mexican food you can throw at it. EWW - Bucko - 02-24-2005 An inexpensive Sparkler works great -- give it a try. - thewoodman - 02-25-2005 Personally, I'd go with a spanish rose. |
