Mount Vernon's Wine Festival and Sunset Tour is back by popular demand for an encore event on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 4, 5, and 6,from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Wine Festival celebrates the history of wine in Virginia and features exclusive evening tours of George Washington's home and wine cellar, and appearances by “General Washington” himself. You are encouraged to bring a blanket and relax on the east lawn of the Mansion overlooking the scenic Potomac River as you sample wines from 16 Virginia wineries. Just added to this fall’s Wine Festival are a live blues performance by Bruce Ewan and the Solid Senders, on-site-concessions from Kingstowne’s Own RED HOT & BLUE Memphis Pit Bar-B-Que, and delicious desserts from Firehook Bakery.

In addition to the on-site concessions, Fruit and Cheese Boxes are available by advance purchase only. Each box serves two and includes an assortment of fresh fruit and cheese, Virginia peanuts, a half-baguette from Firehook Bakery, and wine biscuits. They will be available for pick-up upon your arrival.
