pretty basic and creamy/cheesey. what do people like as a pairing?

Would match the wine to the entree; have paired with Christmas ham and a Brunello, and with NY strips with a Ch. Lagrange Bordeaux, both were fabulous.

Thinking along the same lines, HW. Wouldn't pair with a wine with the side, scalloped potatoes in this case. The pairing should be with the entire meal, as HW has done.

If I was just eating the potatoes by themselves and needed a wine with it, I would use up one of those oaky Chardonnay's people give me.

Alsace Pinot Blanc.

was undecided on the rest of the menu until last minute, but ended up with chicken and asparagus. just stuck with chard, which worked well, thanks!
