Three Rivers Shiraz - Rob Kennedy - 04-25-2016

Three Rivers Shiraz is Australia's most prominent Shiraz. Wine maker Chris Ringland produces around 750 bottles of this dry grown wine per year making it a very difficult wine to come by.

What are the components that you observed tasting this great bottle that describe your experience? WW

RE: Three Rivers Shiraz - Rob Kennedy - 04-26-2016

Unfortunately I didn't get to consume the contents of this bottle. I certainly don't have the funds to buy a bottle of Three Rivers Shiraz.

I wanted to paint all the wine in his range and Chris kindly sent me an empty bottle as a reference to work from. In turn he commissioned the painting once he saw how it was coming along. This image and the "Works in Progress" will form part of the Ringland Vintners catalogue and the original will hang in the Ringland winery near Adelaide.

I'm sorry I'm unable to provide you any insight as to my tasting notes.

Regards

RK

WOW!! Chris is really a kind and generous person. At the very least he could have left a couple of drops in the bottom. Any whos, welcome to the board. Post a picture of the picture. WW

Winoweenie, I have attached a pic of the pic. I tried to embed the pic into the post but that function seems to be disabled now. You can cut and paste this link into your browser if you have time.

Chris is very genorous. He was the first person to give me permission to paint his bottle/logo/ intellectual property. He supported me with this, two other minor paintings and my next project as well. Other wine makers as well such as Rymill, 3 Associates and Shotesbrook. Many winemakers haven't the time to reply or in several cases have said "no". When I get this sort of support it's very heart warming.

I suppose too, I really enjoy Chris Ringland's wine. My daughter gave me a bottle of Reservation Shiraz for my birthday which rekindled my desire to paint plonk. For me if you love wine and painting, why not combine the two.

Cheers
Rob
