The Grim Reaper Foiled Again - Jackie - 03-12-2016 11:04 PM

Wow. I've had one heckuva week. Felt really ill beginning last Saturday. Sunday and Monday could not get out of bed with serious abdominal pain. Finally some friends drove me to my MD who thought I had a burst appendix & sent me straight to the emergency room. Long story short, my appendix is fine but I have a kidney stone the size of Gibralter blocking my kidney and had developed sepsis. Intravenous antibiotics, morphine and good doctors and nurses managed to pull me back but it was close. The stone will have to be pulverized or surgically removed. Til then it is more antibiotics and no alcohol. Planning to celebrate, however, with something nice. Suggestions on wines to celebrate beating the grim reaper (temporarily, at least)??

Maybe a Chateau Ste. Michelle something or other?

Jackie
