2005 Maison Vincent Girardin Corton-Renardes Vieilles Vignes - TheEngineer - 06-25-2015

This bottle is starting to come out of its slumber I believe. The vintage tags are there, lush red fruits, great acidity in the structure, the density has absorbed the use of oak, this thing is still very fresh and lush, but the good signs are there, the texture is smoothing out, the tannins are receding, the structure is integrating into the rest of the wine and there are no real holes drops in across the front to mid palate, and it has good persistence. Got a few more and will revisit in a couple of years.
