1995 Sandrone Barolo Cannubi - TheEngineer - 02-08-2015

Ohhh I loved this bottle. Needed time to open. Opened bottle about 6 hours before drinking and it was still a very shy creature.

Nose is elegant and opulent at the same time, violet hints of tar but great sense of a sea of dark fruits. On the palate, the fruit is still very primary, noting the vintage, but kept very fresh with annis, hints of herbs, meat, tar, and leather. The backbone of acidity was always there and this baby has a long long life in front of it. Lovely wine!
