2002 Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron - TheEngineer - 12-04-2014

Over the years, this has developed into a very nice wine. This is about as close to my definition of classic bordeaux as it gets. Dense for the vintage, solid, expressive but serious nose nose now. On the palate, the wine is very smooth, you get licorice, dark fruits and berries. It is perhaps not as flamboyant as other vintages but this is one solid and entirely enjoyable drink for what it is.
