1993 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Landonne - TheEngineer - 11-26-2014

We popped this one first, out of the two. The nose is still fresh, some herbs, spices, meat, dried fruits, but lacked the intensity that I've read about from these wines. Having said that, this wine was the bigger of the two tonight already.

Still, while lacking the density, this wine through a lot of minerals, and complexity at you. Again, I'm not lucky enough to have had a lot of these wines, but I enjoyed it for what it was, probably a great wine from not so great a vintage for these wines.
