The Christian Brothers Champagne Brut 1964 - Marianne1982 - 04-05-2014

[attachment=30]Hello,

I found a bottle of "the christian brothers california champagne-brut at a yardsale from 1964 as it appears...
I would really like to know if this is worth anything ? (I am not a collector but thought this might be an interesting piece)
The champagne seems to still be bubbly as it does not have any kind of trash in it (corroded cork etc.)

I am not sure if this is the right thread to ask about this,if not so, i am sorry !

Thanks for any answer in advance Smile

Hi Marianne and welcome to the board. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the bottle is only worth what the curiosity value someone puts on it. The wine is long gone and the bubbles you see are only escaping gasses trapped in the bottle with the prolonged exposure. This baby died around 45 years ago. sorry. WW
