2000 Chateau cos d'estournel - TheEngineer - 03-12-2014

This rather large wine is still very tight night now. Of course with some decanting, its opens up but it seems muted and reserved. It is still a lovely wine thought.

Nose is reserved but very bordeaux: dark fruits, black berries, red berries, , tobacco, cedar and hints of graphite. This wine is dense and structured. Super nice finish but tannins still evident (though not in a bad way). still a bit grippy. Not a bad time to try it but a good future.

Thought it would be interesting to open another one of these since I've had a few other vintages recently. No change in note. It has not budged. Probably won't have to look into this for another few years. Tied down right now.
