Apparently there is only 63 bottles on this the US. ..So ....crack..... Smile

I knew nothing about this whisky when I bought it. I was told that this was released with some fanfare in honor of a master Distiller who had just celebrated his 5th decade at the distillery. that is quite a feat and we can celebrate just the loyalty alone. Now to the hard stuff.

Initially, I was kindalet down. Don't get me wrong, ice enough drink, good loads in proportions of orange, honey, vanilla, bits of caramel. it has a good density of favors and it is very smooth. Definitely fruity but more so the sensation of sweetness. Then after a while, I settled down with this and started to really enjoy it. It has a wonderful balance to this, a certain, lasse-faire attitude, time is a wonderful educator sort of feel to it. As if you know that you would enjoy this much more after working with the stuff for 5 decades, and not just drinking it for 10 years. I did not want to take the marketing hype into the equation, but this is one drink that I think experienced drinkers will enjoy a whole lot more than point markers....
