Hello. I bought some wine (single bottles)about 20 years ago (time flies!) and now I would like to know what they might be worth in the marketplace. Is there a data base that might help? I was thinking of trying e-bay but I'd like an idea of their value before I do that. (e.g. 82,86, and 87 Opus One). Thanks in advance for any advice.

Try www.winesearcher.com. They show the current retail prices of your wines. Also take a look at www.winebid.com which shows the latest auction prices.

Thank you!

Hi BillJ and welcome to the board. You're going to get a shock trying to sell single bottles. #1) What kind of storage do you have? 2) Where did you buy them and what was their provenance?. Good Luck. WW

WW, thanks for the cautionary advice. The wines were kept in a below ground cellar, but not specifically cared for "wine-wise". (The temp did not get above 68 degrees).

No provenance, just the unopened bottles. I suppose I'll just see what I can do on a few auction sites and, if no luck there, prepare to drink them myself!

Thanks again.

I'll drink to that! WW
