Jura 21 Year Old 200th Anniversary - TheEngineer - 11-05-2012

This was a bottle that I had a chance to share with KC before. A friend found me another bottling and I was glad for that as it is now at least hard to get.

A bit different than I remembered last but still a nice dram. Dominated for me by the Orangey citrus notes, honeyed, a bit of spiciness and licorice. Not too much of the sherry cask that I'm seeing but medium plus finish and nice smooth, dense texture. Made for a nice drink to share.

They have this really neat marketing item right now. One of their bottling is called Superstition. so they are placing 40 pennies around the UK (with hints on twitter) to id where these special pennies are (the notion of a found lucky penny...) and people can turn these pennies in for free bottles....
