From a perhaps ignored chateau, I only started to look at this after tasting their '08's which were super.

This one from 06 was also very good, lotsa grip still, but dense and smooth, nicely balanced and holding onto it's youth at the moment. Lovely stuff.

A St Julien! Dang! Looks like the '05 is available in this area for about $73.....

HW, I agree. I've not heard of them before and they are located on hollowed grounds. I was told that historically, that this site produced great wines and that it is returning to form. I'm always sketptical about these things. Al la Calon Segur, Nicolas-Alexandre, marquis de Ségur (1695–1755) was a Bordeaux wine maker who during his lifetime was known as the "Prince of Vines" due to his ownership of Château Lafite, Château Latour, Château Mouton and Château Calon-Ségur, but it was Segur that owned his heart. I love Calon Segur too but it does not mean that it makes better wine than Lafite, Latour or Mouton.... only that I can afford it. Smile
