- wonders - 02-26-2012 14.5% alcohol. Fun, fresh, fruity, vibrant Merlot--don't seek serious depth here. Finishes with fuzzy subtle tannins. Ripe berries. Marries red and black fruits on the tastebuds. This is a favorite of one of the partners in a local wine and beer store. - Drew - 02-26-2012 I agree. WW - Kcwhippet - 02-27-2012 Love the Horse Heaven Hills stuff - but maybe not this one. BTW, those of us who made the WA offline had a dinner with Jarrod Boyle of Alexandria Nicole, who was at the forefront of the push to make the Horse Heaven Hills an appelation. Also, we carry a beer from Dogfish Head called Noble Rot, which is made with Alexandria Nicole botritised Viognier. Small world. - hotwine - 02-27-2012 I'm missing something on Merlot.... can't seem to think of it as anything more than a blending grape. Iff'n that hummer done' ring your chimes I'll drink a glass of water. WW |
