My girlfriend and I have recently obtained these wines. Are any of value?
1. 1967 Valpolicella
2.1962 Beaulieu Vinyard (Cab,Private reserve)
3. 1967 Chateau Mouton Rothschild
4. 1967 Charles Krug (Cab)
5. 1959 Corton

Thank You

If you know you have good provenence for these wines then 2 through 5 have possiblities!

However, you will be hard pressed to sell individual bottles of wine. Fine wine is usually sold at auction in case lots or in large bottles.

For instance the Rothschild has a potential value of about $500.00. But that is a retail value (or a paper value) and is not what you would get were you to sell it.

Ace, welcome to the board. Hate to disagree with you MrD but if you can get a potential value of 500 for ANY 67 besides the Petrus, then you be Gunga Din. Last I saw it was selling retail for UNDER 200 and again, like the other 67`s , with not many takers. The bottle is valuable for lable collectors more than wine drinkers. The 62 BV probably would have more residual value if the provenance can be shown for some of the vertical tastings of the Reserve. My tasting notes on the 62, 63, and 64 show they were on the down ramp in 1982. winoweenie

Winoweenie you need to tell Wine Searcher about your distributers! They are surely less expensive than those represented on the Wine Searcher website.

I guess I should have made note in my post above about my source of information .

Hi MrD, Bel-Air/20-20 Wine Merchants latest catalogue has the wines in question at the prices quoted. If Wine-Searcher is giving out the prices on this Dreck at that level, I might be tempted to sell them some of mine. We also have Hi-Time cellars in Costa Mesa,K & L wine merchants in San Fran, and many others that are very competitive on older bottles. winoweenie
