Bob, have you had a chance to try this yet in MA?

Large nose, dark and red fruits, blueberry, plum, and from the oak, of which it is not overtly overbearing, cedar, vanilla and cinnamon, good structure (with an acidity backbone noticeable in the wine), Long finish and persistence.

Haven't seen it yet, but I'll look for it.

WW, they are located just up the road from Ladera. NIce plot of land, use to be an old hunting ground for Napa residents. I think their stuff is reasonable/decent for the price (around $65 a bottle retail, more from the winery).

Think I know the plot. If you can get on Rivers/Marie mailing list run, done walk. Killer juice at 50+ per and drinks/ages like a 100+. WW

I'm kinda on it. I share an allocation with a friend. They started having vineyard specific bottlings this year but they are at a pricier $79 a bottle. Not sure if they are any better than the standard bottle as we just sent in the order.

The last of my 07's. kinda wished had more. This wine has moved on a bit, but only just. More stable and solid, stood up well beside the more expensive Nickel and Nickel Tench. Fruit, like the Tench, was identifiable as mountain fruit, there is a hint of power that just is there, like the valley floor dust. Love it.
