We have an extra refrigerator. I have found that it does a good job keeping temperatures consistent. However, I do not know whether or not it will satisfy requirements for humidity and vibration. Do you think it will work, or do we need to consider purchasing equipment specifically for wine? If the latter, what do you recommend for 100 bottles? thanx!

Hi Bert, and welcome to the Wine Board. A regular fridge is only good for storing white or sparkling wines for a short time. You are correct in humidity and vibration being the main problems. We only have experience with passive systems, though we are looking for an active one for our vehicle. Go back on this tread as far as you can go, and you will find a wealth of information on active systems. If you have a cellar that keeps a cool temperature and high humidity that you don't remove, a passive system will work fine.
