Way back when Sam was making the wine, he had access to Eagle Vineyard and made some awesome wines from the fruit. I had a case of the 81 Cab and had the last of it in 93. Judy and I were out in CA back in 93 for a two week trip and we went to Viansa where I met Sam and told him about having the 81 Eagle Vyd. He said it was probably the best wine he ever made, even better than the stuff at Viansa. We opened the last bottle when we got home, and it was just so good! Oh, sweet memories.
