For all of you who aren't dialed in... met and consumed beaucoup Pinot Noir de Oregon in the past few weeks. DELICIOUS stuff really... and speaking with Oregonians its definitely the buzz. In particular I have found a few producers to be exemplary of making great cuvee and single vineyard productions. Hammacher, Dukes, Ayoub, Raptor Ridge, Retour and Evening Land Pinot Noirs are scrumptious. Floating around the $50-75/bottle mark they are pricey but all glorious and enjoyable. IF you guys suggest any that are more in line with the $25-35 range, please fill me in!

Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, Oregon runs about $30-$35 and I really liked the 2008 vintage at a Sokol Blosser dinner in Raleigh.

Jane, who was at the dinner from S-B? We met Susan Sokol-Blosser back about 1995 at her winery and found her a very engaging person. Plus, she was making some really nice wines.
