I've had all the vintages since 2005 and I must say that for the value, under $100, these guys produce wines that rival big boys like Bryant Family, Bond, Harlan, etc... The wines are extracted, lots of dark red fruit and spice, with plenty of concentration, but with no flabby or overly jammy attributes. Extremely well balanced and the acidity is dead on perfect. I love this producer and hope he keeps his wines reasonable for the special occasion. Only issue is that the bottles are tall and make it hard to cellar, but so be it...

Altamura is one that I've never had the chance to try.

We have it in the shop, Mike. If you ever get back to MA, you can get some.
