OK, so I understand now what IK was talking about regarding the search. The issues are:

1. Searching the forum results in a massive list of posts where someone may have mentioned something about a wine. Everyone is use to it searching the topic. So for all intensive purposes if you go into the Cabernet Sauvignon thread and create a new topic, the headline is the "topic" and the content inside of it is the "post" Therefore we are creating a policy where you search the Forum and if you type in "2000 Chateau Lynch Bages" or just "Lynch Bages" it will search the Topic first and will display who created the topic.

2. If no topic containing "Lynch Bages" or "2000 Lynch Bages" is found it the Search mechanics will give you the option to search posts. This is because the posts may or may not contain relevant information to the wine search.

3. The little lens will be clickable.

4. You will not have to hit Control F to do anything. I think thats stupid and I believe everyone else does as well. Sorry about that one...

5. The Storage Thread will still need to be fixed, but will be fixed in a few weeks. This is because we have to fix the SEO on the site to increase the traffic. Right now we are seeing a 15% increase in traffic this week alone because we are fixing simple things with the code behind the site. The site always had lower than average traffic and getting it ramped up is a gi-normous effort.

6. We will bring back the emotional icons soon. I cannot give you a date on that, but its in the queue.

7. Any other issues, please continue to nail them down on this thread.

I hope we don't loose anyone, as I am and have always been committed to keeping the Wine Board moving the right direction. Granted WW was correct that we should have anticipated these issues, but we didn't so I apologize for that. Each and everyone here is important to the Wine Board so I will promise you one thing. When we have the search and emotional icons finished. We will have posting contests where if you reach milestones in posting, we will have wineries ship you a free bottle. I know that's not a big deal for most of you, but if there is a reward, it will encourage new posters...
