70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Carmenere
Deep flavors of black fruit, currant, blackberry, dark cherry with hints of dark chocolate, tar and vanilla. Very balanced and full bodied the finish is long and persistant. Purchased a case for $13 per bottle. Also compared it to the 2006 which was not a buy for me. Much leaner and one dimentional. Wonderful QPR 14.5% Alc/vol.

This is a wine we tasted at the Fayetteville Wine Society meeting last Monday but I'm not sure of the vintage. I think I have my notes in the car and if so will edit this later today. I was not too impressed with whatever vintage we tasted. My favorites of eight South American wines were the Catena Zapata Malbecs.
Oops. We didn't have this one of any vintage. We had the Montes Cherub Rose and a Montes Syrah. I was confusing it with a Carmenere-Carignan from another producer.
