Earlier that same day, we're having a jug of Giacosa Barolo with dinner.

With dinner (Italian fare) we're having an '01 Zenato Ripassa Valpolicella at a friend's house. Evening drinking back at home will involve a Mailly Grand Cru Brut. Gruet for breakfast on NY Day.

Actually, with the tragic situation over in Asia, our new years celebration was very calm. It as also one of our friend's birthday but despite a birthday and a new years, we all held a moment of silence out of respect for the situation.
