May 19th, Judye and I became Washington's newest corporation (for about ten minutes) as VinElla LLC. (Vin for obvious; Ella for our grandaughter) We've found a site, written business plan (polishing now) and I've almost finished our logo design. Whew.

Had a bottle of bubbly and toasted our new beginnings. Scary but FUN!!!

I know what you mean about starting a business -- daunting, yet exciting. Congratulations, and good luck to you!

BTW, which of the two sites that you were considering did you end up selecting?

Good luck to you and your new endeavor! Hoping that we all have the chance to drop by and say hi!

Best of luck!

Hope it fulfills your dreams!

Interesting name. I remember reading years ago that "vinella" was a light wine made for the peasants by adding water to the dregs of the pressings and allowed to ferment again. This produces a cheap, inferior version of the better wines. Hope none of your potential customers have ties to folks in Italy that might remember this wine, because it may have negative connotations about your products. Regardless, much good luck in your venture. Hope all goes well.

KC,

SHHHHH!!! I told my lawyer that I had found that root for the word by googling it. He freaked out and told me never to repeat that again because that was one way to make sure our trademark process winds up in a big, knotty mess. It took me several pages into google to find that (after the hundreds of listings for "vanilla" misspelled!) so I'm not worried about everyone knowing it. Strikes me as funny, in a way, really. Again, the depth of knowledge of random minutiae on this board truly astounds me. My mother calls me a storehouse of useless information...must be why I keep coming back here...

Are you calling KC useless? (heh heh)

Well, Judy says I have more useless trivia stuffed in my brain than anyone she knows, but I can't remember to pick up something at the store or do something around the house she asked me to do yesterday. Yes, WW, I know it's the second thing to go.
