these are good people, and their heritage vines (alegria vineyard) zin is remarkable stuff.

Way to go, Keith!! We "discovered" Acorn about 5 years ago and have watched a number of other folks find them also. When we first started getting their wines, the Heritage Zin was $20. It's jumping up quite a bit. BTW, one of our favorites is their Dolcetto - great light pasta wine. Did you have an opportunity to try that one?

Very nice article, Keith. I really like some of the old-vine zins--currently impressed with Eric Ross Occidental Vineyard Old Vine Zinfandel.

thanks, folks.

KC: nope, didn't get to try their dolcetto. but i liked everything i tried.

WW: the winery is located on old redwood highway, south of downtown. take the highway west from 101 a couple miles, and acorn is on the left, about a mile past foppiano. (but unlike foppiano, you'll never find acorn unless you know what you're looking for.)
