Taking CB to our favorite beach hide-a-way on the Sea of Cortez for a week. Play nice, no biting in the clinches and I'll call if I get work. WW

Enjoy, WW. With you and Bucko both skipping out, the inmates are sure to take over this here funny farm.

- Innkeeper - 09-21-2002

Heh, heh!

- winedope1 - 09-21-2002

that's the idea.....

- Thomas - 09-21-2002

Inmate? I thought I was made a trustee--I "got my mind right" for the occasion...

- Drew - 09-21-2002

How many eggs you eat?

Cool Hand Drew

- hotwine - 09-21-2002

Shakin' it now, boss!

- winedope1 - 09-21-2002

" what we have here is a failure to communicate"... oops- should have said this after one of WW's posts... ; )

- hotwine - 09-21-2002

WD, I was just continuing Drew's theme from "Cool Hand Luke". It's probably just as well that the meaning behind "Shakin' it now, boss" didn't come through....

- winedope1 - 09-21-2002

hotwine- correct me if i'm wrong, but my quote is also from the film?? i'm probably glad i didn't get it, but i think i may have now.

- Kcwhippet - 09-22-2002

WD,

That line's probably in the top ten of the all time classic movie lines.

- winoweenie - 09-22-2002

Can't turn my keyboards' back fer 10 minuettes and alreadies you young'uns are start'n to cause a hissie-fit. I'm leaving in a few... I'll deal with the ringleaders on return. WW

- hotwine - 09-22-2002

Sorry 'bout that, WD. Your line was indeed from the same flick (which dawned on me only belatedly - typical of geezerhood).

- Thomas - 09-22-2002

what astounded me is that my small hint was soundly understood...at least by Drew, the rest was a good following...now, what was this all about anyway?

- winedope1 - 09-22-2002

foodie- Hotwine started it (whine, whine says WD)!! PS- KC- yes, it's one of my favorite sayings! Thought I was losing it for a minute about its origins!

Hey folks, lets talk about wine, before the our competitors eat us up.

- winoweenie - 09-29-2002

What competitors? Dint' realize wine was a competition at the drinking end, only wif dem growers. WW

- Auburnwine - 09-30-2002

Maybe I'm a little sensitive, but could we do without the Stepin Fetchet imitation?

- winoweenie - 09-30-2002

Well Auburnwine ole' bean, please accept my humble apologies but I've been writing with the same amount of mis-spellings. typos, and irreverances' for over 50 years. As far as an imitation, my friend , I can assure you NOONE has ever accused me of imitating anything, much less a talented dancer that propagated racial outlines for Hollywood long before you were born. As I grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma I've lived first hand the prejudiced, small minded southern lifestyle. I'm not coming down on your post, only the fact that like the southern mind-set, you assume I'm poking fun at a segment of our population rather than myself. After owning a business in Georgia for over 35 years I've come to have far too much disdain for the red-necks of our society to associate with any of their ideals. As my chillins' say....Lighten up Dad. WW

- winedope1 - 09-30-2002

mmmmRRRROWWWWWW!!!!! lets all play nice, ok?? WD Yes Auburn, it sounds like you're being sensitive.
