Mexico was the first place in America to seed a grape and it has a very nice production of wine. they are (as usual) a bunch of sad, commercial vineyards (like Domecq) but there are several like L.A. Cetto, Santo Tomás, Marques del Valle, Hidalgo and the finest; Cacholá and Monte Xanic. Do you ever have any experience with one of these wines? Their prices gos from 5 to 45 dlls the bottle.

Very few of those wines make it to the states and they are not active in the international wine competition arena.
