Help!!
I recently acquired several bottles of wine which I really know nothing about. I am looking for some help to identify whether they are of rare vintage or not.

Graves Royal 1955 A.DELUZE.8FILS

Grand VinDe Latour Bordeaux 1935

THEAULFITE Rothchild 1940 Red Bordeaux

Monoploe (? spelling) Ruox Vintage 1947

Hi Sue and welcome to the board. I think you have a stash of very rare wines. Please post the labels in their entirity so confirmation can be completed. WW

Whatever you do don't drink them.
Those wines are for trading, not for drinking. Collectors will pay real money for them.
Use the auction proceeds to buy drinkable wine.

Couldn't DISAGREE more!!! Wines are for drinkin'...not flippin.

Hal....You are the personification of the problem that has masked the real purpose of wine. Trade my Indian-Patootie! These are the wines that solidify the presant grubbiness with the glorious past. Wine is for Socializing, Sharing, Slurping, and Showing there is a Bacchus. Put your Grannies diamonds on E-Bay. WW

OK You guys have a good point. Its just that the wine my father left in the cellar has been mostly disappointing. The 1970 Petrus seemed past its prime, and now I have two more I'm not interested in opening. I love drinking the stuff, especially when I didn't pay for it. Granted I would love to be there when Sue opens her wine. In fact its a great opportunity to taste stuff one would be hard pressed to locate if not afford. In fact I have no intention of selling my dad's wine. There's still one each of the five premier crus from 1970, and I expect some of it to be extraordinary. My real problem is who to share it with.

To be sure, there was sarcasm in my post.
Sorry Sue, I take it back.

You're forgiven....penance, though, is sharing your bottles with the board.
