I've been asked to judge at the MerlotFest in Yakima, WA. This is a new type of event for me -- deciding which Merlot and accompanying food dish pairs best. This should actually be fun, where so many wine judgings are actually a lot of work. Run amok and make Hotwine earn a dollar.

Don't forget to take your "public" teeth and if you do, still have lots of fun, (Just don't smile a lot!)

have a good time, Bucko!! WD

Well thank you one and all. I did indeed have a good time. The judging was different and fun.

The best food dish did not win because the wine was less than optimal. The best wine did not win because the food dish overwhelmed it. The winning food and wine dish complimented each other very well.

Can't reveal the results because they are not released until May 9th, when the winner gets a check for a cool grand, plus their wine/food dish is served at a gala event. I like these wine and food contests!
