Well, we are about 80% unpacked as of today and 16, count them 16 in-laws descend on me tomorrow! Carole's only wish for her 50th was to have all of her brothers, sisters, parents, and kidlets together in her home. My only wish is that the Valium does not run out!!

Now if these yahoos can only get my satellite modem running. This 28K sucks.

Sixteen in-laws, Buckminster? It only takes three to make a plague in my house! Sympathies. At least your cellar is ready to go with plenty of anethestic....

Tawny the labrador (who thinks that she is a princess and the world revolves around her) is alive and growing. She is still pukey, aspirates a bit, and gets aspiration pneumonia on occasion, but we have plenty of antibiotics. The vet says gives her until 8-9 months until she gets close to adult size, then maybe she will grow into her esophagus and not puke and aspirate as much as WW. We are hoping so. She is a loving dog that gives everyone she sees a smile, and she seems happy in spite of it all.

I'm drinking a Texas wine tonight that a brother-in-law brought me. A Cap*Rock blend that is predominantly Sangiovese - Reserve Toscano Rosso, Texas High Plains, 1999. I am blown away by the quality of the wine. I thought it would be a nice gesture, then I would feed the drain gods, however the wine is complex and delicious. So much for preconceptions.

I don't see much Cap Rock in these parts, but will be on the look-out for it. Thanks.
