Not really sure what folder to put this in ... anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of online sources for wine ratings? I check out Wine Spectator's online ratings occasionally, but I was hoping there were other sources (not counting the experts here at wines.com of course). For instance, are Parker's ratings online? I am talking about free sites.

Hi Joey and Parly-Voos frum Phoenix. Last time I checked Parkers' ratings were on a yearly fee basis as are probably most others. Bucko would probably PAY YOU to use his, but that's for another time. WW

The only ratings you can access on WS without paying a fee like Parker, are only from the past year or so.

There is a site www.stratsplace.com where Daniel Rogov rates wines. It is free access but the emphasis is more on European and Israeli wines (I believe he lives in Israel) and not so much on American wines. You would find many of the well known French wines on that site--don't know about the lesser known French wines.

If you go to http://www.wineloverspage.com/ and look under "Departments" you will find ratings by several funtionaries including the Buckster hisself.

Thanks all, will try those out. Already looked at that one WOW mentioned, it seems like a good source for French wine ratings, as was pointed out.

WW, I didn't know you spoke French!

Shoot, WW's a French talker from way back. Why just the other day, in preparation of St. Valentine's Day he said to his wife, "Je T'adore!", and she told him to shut it himself!
